cooler area wide tomorrow, temperatures bottoming out in a big way next week. there is some fog around, low temperatures dropping into mid-50s. and on we go to the satellite image. there is a trough and this cooler pattern going to continue for the next six days or so. take a look at how things will be shaping up. at 5:00 in the morning, fog around the skbai coast. will burn back to the coastline. and there is by 3:00 high temperatures on the coast only into upper 60s, and and there are no 90s expected tomorrow. and into the south bay, highs from 79 in santa clara. 84 in saratoga. 72 san mateo. 77 mountain view. upper 50s on the coast. so getting cooler there. downtown san francisco, a high of 63 degrees tomorrow. 58 into sunset district. 81 in santa rosa. and clear lake will be the only locations seeing 90 degrees or better. there is low to mid-70s inland east bay, low to mid-80s and danville and near monterey bay, 67 in watsonville. and 80s inland in gilroy. and and just keeps on getting cooler. we'll bottom out with lowest temperature readings. and upper 70s

i think the idea of a big agreement, a big grand deal that would involve big spending cuts over ten years, i don't think that's going to happen. that really centerings around the fact that republicans will not raise taxes in any way, shape or form and the president will only do so much in terms of spending cuts if it doesn't involve tax increases. so, i think that center of gravity has moved away from the white house despite the president's pressure. up to capitol hill where there are some dliks on what the fallback position is. that's where washington is right now. a small solution to a big problem. >> does each side think voters will side with them, that politically the other guy is going to pay the price for this? >> i think they're trying to -- trying to get something neutral. not a victory,en a defeat. i think both sides recognize the peril of letting the debt ceiling not be raised. even though there's a lot of more junior lawmakers on the republican side that say, no, this is a false crisis. there's no reason to raise the debt ceiling unless we get the sort of deal we want. you hear

that will be a big factor in the bay area forecast. in fact, we'll show it to you now. increasing low clouds for tonight. tomorrow we'll stick with the theme cool for the beaches, warm temperatures inland and then we have a bit of a warming trend showing up on the long range weather maps. first thing tomorrow morning, partly cloudy skies inland but mostly cloudy skies for the coast and for the bay. most of the bay area starting out sunday morning in the 50s. tomorrow temperatures do come up a little bit by about 2 to 5 degrees from today's highs. and those southwesterly winds will be increasing in the afternoon to around 20 miles an hour. as we take this into next week monday and tuesday, this weather system moves in from the north increasing the marine layer. as a result, more fog and we'll continue to have a bit of a drop in the numbers for monday. tuesday will be the coolest day of the upcoming workweek. here's our forecast model showing you the overcast with the fog. first thing tomorrow morning at 6:00, widespread pulling back to near the coast and near the bay by
